Rammenta Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Rammenta, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Rammenta is a voice-first memory app for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch that records, transcribes, summarizes, and helps you recall audio, notes, and imported content. Rammenta is on-device by design: your content is processed on your device and stored on your device and in your own private iCloud, and every AI feature runs on your device. We do not operate a cloud that holds your content, and your content is never used to train AI models.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be of the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your account credentials and activity.

4. Acceptable Use & Your Responsibility for Recording Others

You will not use Rammenta to violate any law or anyone else's rights. You will only record, import, or process content you have the right to record, import, and process.

Recording-consent laws are your responsibility. Laws governing the recording of conversations vary by jurisdiction. Some places permit a recording when only one party — which may be you — consents ("one-party consent"); others require that every participant consents ("two-party" or "all-party" consent), and many have specific rules for phone calls, in-person conversations, workplaces, and minors. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the recording, wiretapping, eavesdropping, biometric, and privacy laws that apply to you and to everyone you record, and for obtaining any consent or giving any notice those laws require before you record. Where consent or disclosure is required, you must obtain it — for example, by clearly informing all participants that the conversation is being recorded.

Rammenta is a tool; you, not Rammenta, are the person doing the recording. We do not monitor or review your recordings and cannot determine whether you have the necessary rights or consents. You assume all responsibility and risk for your use of Rammenta, including any recording, transcription, speaker recognition (voiceprint), or import you carry out.

Indemnification. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rammenta and its operator from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) content you record, import, or process; (b) your failure to obtain any required consent, or to provide any required notice, or to otherwise comply with any recording, wiretapping, privacy, biometric, or data-protection law; or (c) your violation of these Terms or of the rights of any third party.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, notes, and imported content. Because Rammenta is on-device, your content stays on your device and in your own iCloud; you grant us only the limited license needed to operate the app and provide features to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

6. Imported Content (Apple Mail, iMessage)

On Mac, you can optionally import email and messages from files already on your device — your Apple Mail messages and your local Messages (iMessage) database — so Rammenta can search and recall across them on your device. Importing is optional, you control what you import, and that content is processed on your device and stays in your own storage and iCloud. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import and process that content (see Section 4).

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Rammenta offers a paid subscription, Rammenta Unlimited, at $19.99 per month, which unlocks unlimited use of the app's features. New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically and the recurring fee is charged. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account and auto-renew monthly until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. We may change pricing on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice.

8. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Rammenta runs on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. We rely on a small number of providers to operate the app and your subscription — for example, Apple for iCloud sync, sign-in, and payments, and our subscription validator (see the Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our agreements with them.

10. Intellectual Property

Rammenta and its branding are our property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the app.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." AI-generated summaries and transcriptions may contain errors and should not be solely relied upon.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rammenta and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Termination

You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction — except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
